At practice last night I was amazed at how cool it sounded going straight into my amp!

I thought I was going to want at least my EQ pedal but I’m happy with just the tuner and channel switcher for the amp.

I’m in a phase right now where I just want that raw, crunchy sound and I don’t care too much about chorus or delay or anything else!

way to go buddy – I mostly gave up pedals years ago, though I use a wah pedal at 50% of gigs and maybe 10% of the time I bring my line6 FM4 (for flanger, tremolo, uni-vibe and phasor sounds)

That should be REALLY fun! You’ll be amazed at what you can actually accomplish – tonally – without all your pedals. Playing naked gets you back to a foundation from which you can build again. Yikes! That might mean more gear!!!! HA!

I’m actually planning to do the same thing for my band’s next gig! I have a big pedal board that I just love but I’ve really been wanting to try something different.

I’m just going to use my tuner and my channel switcher to go between the Normal and Top Boost channels of my AC30.

I think it’ll be fun!
