The first song I posted yesterday. It was called “Come Together,” but after I tweaked the lyrics of the bridge this morning, I decided to change the name to “God’s Love Will Set Us Free,” which is much more in line with the overall meaning of the song.
The second song is something I might’ve posted before called, “He Is the Rock,” which is my version of hard-driving, foot-stomping, rock-blues praise song. It’s a straight-up, 12-bar, 1-4-5 blues (with a slight modulation). I originally recorded the guitars on it using a modeling amp so I could get a “blackface” tone. But on second thought, re-recorded the guitar parts with my VHT Special 6, set to low-power mode, and using its 10-inch speaker (a Jensen Jet Electric Lightning) which makes that amp sound much bigger than its size. 🙂 If you’re unfamiliar with the Special 6, the cabinet is about 14″ X 14″ X 8″. It’s a SMALL cabinet, but when I play it live, I don’t use an attenuator with it, and projects the sound real well. It’s rather amazing.

He Is the Rock
I heard the second song on another post. I liked it then and I still like it now. I would have liked the guitar solo to be longer.
The first song’s good too but I prefer the foot stomping He Is The Rock.
He Is the Rock is my worship band’s signature song. 🙂 I wrote this years ago, but never recorded it until recently. Thanks for the feedback!
